There are some AI powered tools that my dyslexic brain finds helpful, like spell/ grammar check (like identifying where I might be using the wrong version of a word, or if I mean its or it’s) But I have never and will never use generative AI to write my books.
A book is a story. And stories come from humans with lived experiences.
AI can sometimes spit out nice sounding sentences. But they lack real depth, and nuance, and style.
Writing is more than just the words you can put on a page. It’s about the meaning behind those words , and the emotions they can elicit.
AI will never be able to give you that.
I don’t even use ProWritingAid’s sentence rewrite feature. It makes the sentences different. And different is not always better.
“Real” writers (whoever that is) are not using AI to generate best selling books. It is just companies praying on your imposter syndrome to drum up more sales.
Trust yourself. Trust your voice. Trust your heart. You have a story to tell.
